今回の患者さんは鼻炎の症状がありましたので鼻炎について簡単に解説します。
鼻炎とは、鼻の粘膜が何らかの原因で炎症を起こし、腫れた状態を指します。
主な症状は、鼻水、くしゃみ、鼻づまりで、かぜによる急性鼻炎や、花粉やダニなどが原因のアレルギー性鼻炎などの原因によって種類が分けられます。
かぜの症状として現れる鼻炎の事を感染性鼻炎(急性鼻炎)とも言います。これはウイルスや細菌の感染によりなる鼻炎です。
感染性鼻炎の患者さんも多いのですがもう一つ多い鼻炎がアレルギー性鼻炎です。
アレルギー性鼻炎とは花粉、ダニ、ハウスダスト、ペットの毛などのアレルゲン(アレルギーの原因物質)が鼻の粘膜に付着することで起こります。
季節性のアレルギー性鼻炎(花粉症など)と、年中アレルギー反応が続く通年性のアレルギー性鼻炎があります。
他にも構造的鼻炎や血管運動性鼻炎などもあります。
構造的鼻炎は鼻の構造的な問題(鼻の骨の曲がりなど)によって、鼻づまりなどの症状が引き起こされる鼻炎のことです。
聞き馴染みないかもしれませんが血管運動性鼻炎は自律神経の乱れや、寒暖差などによって鼻の粘膜の血管が拡張し、
鼻水や鼻づまりが生じる症状です。
一概にも症状だけでは、感染性の鼻炎(風邪)なのか、アレルギー性鼻炎なのか、または別の病気なのかを区別するのが難しい場合があります。
風邪の症状が治まったのに鼻づまりが続き濃い鼻水が長期間出る場合は、副鼻腔炎(蓄膿症)の可能性もあるため、早めに耳鼻咽喉科を受診することをおススメします。

鼻炎の治療方法はさまざま存在します。
処方やくを使用しての治療法が一般的でしょう。
アレルギー症状を抑える抗ヒスタミンやく、鼻づまりに効果的なロイコトリエン受容体拮抗やく、ステロイド点鼻やくなどがあります。
それでも症状が改善されない場合はアレルゲン免疫療法と言われる根本治療方法があります。
この治療方法はアレルギーの原因物質を体内に少しずつ取り込むことで、アレルギー体質を改善させる治療法です。
舌下免疫療法が代表的で、3年以上継続することで長期的な症状改善が期待することができます。
くすりで効果が不十分な場合や鼻づまりがひどい場合には鼻の粘膜をレーザーで焼く手術や、鼻の構造を改善する手術なども効果的です。
当クリニックでは感染性鼻炎でしたら治療できるのですがもっとひどい症状の鼻炎の鼻炎の場合は耳鼻咽喉科がある病院を紹介しております。

今回の患者さんは感染性鼻炎だと診断できましたので処方やくを飲めば2〜3日で治るでしょう。
でも、それでだけで返すのが勿体ないくらいの美人で巨乳の患者さんでしたのでまた、適当なことを言って僕らのおもちゃになってもらうことにしました。
